The latest is Khaled Sheikh Mohammed. According to The Times online, November 14, 2009 edition:
"The self-confessed mastermind of the September 11 terror attacks and four alleged co-conspirators are to be moved from Guantánamo Bay and tried in a civilian court in New York. The move was denounced angrily yesterday by victims’ relatives and Republicans on Capitol Hill.
The extraordinary announcement of the trial was made by Eric Holder, the Attorney-General, who said that he would seek the death penalty for Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four others when they face prosecution in a court in lower Manhattan.
The court sits a few blocks from where the twin towers collapsed after the 2001 attack and where nearly 3,000 people died. The trial will prove to be an enormous legal, political and popular test of President Obama’s methods of dealing with terrorism."
President Obama's methods of dealing with terrorism? You don't have to have a dog and pony show, New York trial to "test" Obama's methods of dealing with terrorism because he has no methods, the man is incompetent!
However, if you want to know the real MOTIVE behind Obama's decision, then look no further than the rabid liberal leftist blogs and websites. The best example of what Obama is possibly thinking is found in an article published on the Who Runs Gov.Com website.
The title of the article posted there says it all..."Poll: In New York, Opposition to Terror Trial is Old White and Republican". The author of the article writes:
"Buried in the internals of the new Marist poll of New York City residents is a striking finding: Opposition to trying Khalid Sheik Mohammed and his co-conspirators in a New York court is almost entirely driven by old, white, and Republican voters.
The poll finds that overall, 45% of New Yorkers think the trial is a good idea, versus 41% who think it’s a bad idea.
When the numbers are broken down by age, the only group against the trial is made up of those over 65, by 46%-41%. The other age groups are in favor of it.
When the numbers are broken down by race, the only group against the trial is made up of whites, by 49%-41%. Blacks and Latinos both favor it, Latinos overwhelmingly so.
And when the poll is broken down by party, Republicans are overwhelmingly against the trial, 68%-23%. Dems and “non-enrolled” both favor it."
This leftist article, in my opinion gives the rest of us incredible incite into just what Barack Obama is thinking and when you boil it all down only one thing is left: "It is all Whitey's fault".
In fact you see this thought process across all Liberal circles. Even white liberals believe it is "whitey's" fault.
If they can just get rid of "whitey" or at least make him the minority, all things will fall into place, and they are willing to go to any lengths, including violence to accomplish their agenda.
A good example of this is found in a video and accompanying article posted on Alex Jones' "Infowars" website in it you see pro illegal amnesty thugs assault to "Tea Party" activists simply for trying to video tape them...
The author of the article sums up Obama's agenda, and those who believe in it perfectly when he states:
"The attack against Tea Party activists in the video below is a direct result of the concerted campaign by the corporate media — in particular Chris Matthews — to portray Tea Party activists and supporters as racist. It’s an example of pro-Obama brown-shirt thuggery.
In August, SEIU (Service Employees International Union) knuckle-draggers attacked anti-Obamacare demonstrators at a U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan, D-St. Louis, event in Mehville, Missouri. Kenneth Gladney, who was handing out Gadsen flags outside the stage-managed event, was viciously beaten by a male SEIU member and an unidentified woman. Gladney was hospitalized with multiple injuries.
The attack came after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi characterized anti-Obamacare demonstrators as “astroturfers” and Nazis. Carnahan characterized the opposition as “disrupters” and said they were “mobilized” by “special interests in Washington who have lined their pockets by overcharging Americans for a broken health care system.”
Well, I'm not old, I'm middle-aged and I am not a Republican because I could never be a member of the "Party of Lincoln". I consider myself a "Jeffersonian Democrat" and vote independently. I am, however; "white", which makes me the bad guy in Obama's world but I will never feel "guilty".
Obama and his brown shirt thug supporters, might want to consider the fact that they are "pushing the envelope" with their violent tactics. Most Americans are peace-loving people... but Southern-Americans will only be peaceful for so long, push the envelope too much and we WILL defend ourselves, and that is an historical fact.
