Jetton, speaking to publishers, editors and reporters at the Missouri Governor's Mansion, made an example of Wayne County residents in his 156th Missouri House District. In 2004, an employer who considered moving to Wayne County, which had one of the highest unemployment rates in the state at the time, was able to attract only three applicants, Jetton said. The jobs weren't great -- the pay was about $8 an hour -- but the chance to get off government assistance should have been attractive, he said.

"We have a shortage of people who want to go out and bust their tails and do the jobs," Jetton said.

Jetton made his remarks when asked about his statement made to Republicans in Springfield, Mo., that he would like to "trade some of our people for some of the Mexicans who work so hard."

He didn't back away from that remark. "If we can find a way to trade them, I would trade them in a heartbeat," Jetton said. "

So what is Jetton implying? Perhaps it is that if people are not willing to work for $8.00 an hour , he will make sure illegal Mexicans are bused in?

There might be several reasons that people in Wayne County did not apply for an $8.00 an hour job.

Perhaps it is the dollar that devalues everyday, and on track to becoming utterly worthless. You can thank Jetton's neocon heroes in Washington for this. The endless wars, the endless borrowing, the printing of more and more federal reserve notes.

Wayne County is a big county, $8.00 an hour will barely pay for $3.00 a gallon gas to and from work, much less, feed your family and pay for the electric, the house payment and the medical bills.

Rod Jetton should know this. Why should Jetton know this? Because Rod Jetton is a hypocrite, who was once on welfare himself!

Maybe the state government should have taken Rod Jetton's welfare and housing away and gave it to some hard working Mexican immigrants?

Let's talk about those hard working illegal immigrants. First of all, yes many are hard-working, many are not, but that's not the real reason Jetton wants more of them in Missouri.

The real reason that Jetton and his Republican allies ( like former Rep. Cooper who was convicted of immigration fraud) want more illegals here is so they can make money off of importing them. In addition they can help their corporate friends obtain cheap labor.

Mexican illegal immigrants are the new slaves, and this current attempt by Jetton and his cohorts to reinstitute the practice is brought to you by the Republican Party, the same one that prides itself in reminding voters that they "freed the slaves".

The thing about illegal immigrants isn't that most are hardworking, it's the fact that they are here illegally!

What about the illegals that aren't hard-working, the violent offenders, the drug dealers, and the ones that hold racist attitudes towards American citizens?

Ask any truck driver who has had to pick up a load on the U.S. Mexican border, who experiences discrimination because they can not speak Spanish.

Ask any police officer in Missouri who have to deal with these illegals every single day. Ask them, they will tell you that if they spend an hour processing an illegal after an arrest for a crime, one of their friends will come to the police station with $50,000.00 that very night and bail them out.

Newsflash House Speaker Jetton: Illegal Mexican immigrants are not an asset, they are a liability and a burden on the tax payers. Oh talk all you want about "lazy" Missourians "free-loading" off of the system, but just who do you think pays for the healthcare of the Mexicans?

We do you stupid bastard! We do, the taxpayers, because the Mexicans go to the hospital, get treated, (because it is the law that hospitals must provide basic medical care) and then they leave! They don't have to pay, and the hospital can not make them, because they are not citizens!

Who pays Rod? We do! Because the hospitals costs rise due to this. Then the hospital passes on those costs to "lazy" Missourians who have jobs and insurance.

Can we simply take off and not worry about paying our hospital bills? No! Because the hospital will track Missouri citizens down, and take the fees directly from our paychecks if necessary.

Mr. Jetton, you want to talk about work ethic? Fine, you've served two terms in office;the roads in your district are an absolute disgrace. They are unsafe, don't believe me? Take a drive anywhere along Hwy's 34 or 51 and count how many roadside crosses you see along the way.

What have you done Rod? Nothing.
