Today is the 144th anniversary of William Quantrill's raid on Lawrence, Kansas. I have been working on a comprehensive article to "set the record straight" about Quantrill, his reasons for attacking Lawrence, and his conduct there. Two days later I have realized that this is going to take an additional one or two days to complete. I promise to have an article on the subject completed by this weekend. Until then, here's to you Quantrill!
