Confederate, Conservative, Constitutional
An Un Re-Constructed View on the News and Politics from a Missouri Reb in the tradition of Jim Wolfe's "A Man about Missouri" 04-14-65

This is a Christian flag. It is a flag that represents Liberty, Freedom and Independence, wherever it flies, from Missouri to South Carolina, or Germany or China. It is known throughout the world as a flag that represents independence.
Which brings to mind the next question. Why is it known around the world as a flag of Independence and Freedom, yet America is the only place that it continually comes under attack?
The State newspaper is reporting...
"The S.C. Conference of the United Methodist Church passed a resolution late Wednesday calling for removal of the Confederate flag from the State House grounds. The resolution passed by a narrow margin after a short discussion, said Matt Brodie, communications director for the annual conference.
Three pastors, including the Rev. John Culp of Columbia’s Virginia Wingard UMC, introduced the resolution. In May, Culp led pastors and lay people in prayer at the Capitol to draw attention to what they see as a symbol of divisiveness."
The Neocons have infiltrated the church. They are the same ones that lift up President Bush as a Christian leader, that the United States is a Christian nation, and that the United States flag is a symbol of a Christian nation. None of which is true. It hasn't been since 1860.
1860 is when Abraham Lincoln was elected president. His sole mission was to destroy everything that the Methodist claim that they stand for today. Or should I say the S.C. Methodist.
The same Confederate Flag that the S.C. Methodist want to ban/destroy was born through an effort of Southern citizen / soldiers who fought to preserve the ideals that this country was founded upon.
Isn't it ironic that these S.C. Methodist lift up George Bush and the Stars and Stripes as symbols of Christianity, meanwhile they are busy tearing down the last symbols of Christianity and Freedom?
This is why Government should have no involvement in the Church.
At one time Germany was considered a Christian nation. It was considered a Christian nation right up until the time a ruthless power-hungry dictator took over their country and infiltrated the military and the church, as well as removed all symbols but the one symbol that he "allowed".
Ladies and Gentleman we have now arrived at that point in this country. As for the flag at the top of this post, and on top of my flag pole at my home... IT AIN'T COMIN' DOWN! no matter what the S.C. Methodist , or for that matter any other denominaton who wants to worship idols might think or demand.
In closing note that in their "resolution" they call the Confederate Battle Flag, "divisive", a term that has been used by such liberal groups such as the NAACP, the ADL and the SPLC.
