An Un Re-Constructed View on the News and Politics from a Missouri Reb in the tradition of Jim Wolfe's "A Man about Missouri" 04-14-65
Today I received an email stating that the National Republican Senatorial Committee had mailed out a presidential poll that had omitted Ron Paul as a choice. The email stated that:
"The NRSC (National Republican Senatorial Committee) has mailed (snail mail) a Presidential Preference Poll out. Ron Paul is not included.
This poll includes Gilmore (dropped out), Fred Thompson (hasn't announced), Newt Gingrich (hasn't announced), Chuck Hagel (hasn't announced), John McCain (less money on hand than Ron Paul), Brownback, Tommy Thompson, and Duncan Hunter (these last 3 combined have raised less than Dr. Paul).
Disagreeing with Ron Paul is one thing -- banning him is quite another."
The email continued by giving out the phone number of the Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee , asking readers to call and voice their discontent...
"When calling and emailing, ask why they excluded Dr. Paul, while including people who are not running. Then ask them to mail a new Presidential Preference Poll including him. Give the NRSC a call at 202 675-6000 "
I immediately picked up the phone to do just that. To my surprise apparently alot of other folks have done so as well. When asked why Dr. Paul had not been included in the poll, the gentleman on the other line stated that it was an "outdated" poll that had been mailed out to the public.
He then directed me to the NRSC website: www.nrsc.org , telling me that a new online poll had been posted that included Ron Paul as a choice. The poll , which was updated Monday has Ron Paul in second place behind Fred Thompson, ahead of Giuliani, McCain, Romney and the whole Hee Haw Gang!
It would not surprise me if the next time the updated results are posted, Ron Paul will be in the lead.
Ron Paul needs our support now more than ever, if you love freedom then please visit the NRSC website: www.nrsc.org and click on the Republican Presidential Poll link, and show your support for Dr. Paul!

The leftist Southern Poverty Law Center gets it wrong once again. In its latest "Intelligence Report", (an oxymoron if there ever was one), Morris Dees and Company report that:
"The neo-Confederate movement isn't known for its racial diversity, but there long has been one dedicated black man willing to fight for the Southern cause: H.K. Edgerton. A constant fixture at protests in support of Confederate symbols, Edgerton at one point walked from his home in Asheville, N.C., to Austin, Texas, dressed all the while in Confederate gray and toting a battle flag.
In March, after being accused by white neo-Confederate colleagues of financial improprieties, Edgerton quit the fight and furled his flag."
The SPLC continued by stating...
"Lyons offered a halfhearted defense of Edgerton on the SCV's Southern Herald mailing list, calling him "a close friend." But Lyons also wrote that "the SLRC is not and has not been involved in any of H.K.'s travel or appearances for some time." Lyons added that Edgerton is no longer with the SLRC."
Mr. Edgerton has responded in kind to the latest SPLC propaganda. In a widely distributed email of his own, Mr. Edgerton delivers a virtual pimp-slap to Morris Dees and his SPLC...
"Please don't take everything that Morris Dees reports in his trash magazine to heart. Please write him and tell him that when I enter Montgomery once again on my Re-Union March Across Dixie that I shall stop once again at his front door and challenge him on all the complete inaccuracies of his long time rhetoric and I hope that he does not turn tail and run like he did when I confronted him at Western Carolina College; and please tell him that I am now sitting at my computer in the office of the Southern Legal Resource Center, and I opened the front door with my very own key. I don't think that those individuals who served on the Board of Advisors of the SLRC would take too kindly to accusations either. I am now the Chairman of the Board of Advisors Emeritus , and am enjoying that role quiet nicely. Also please tell him that I am also enjoying my role as President of Southern Heritage 411, and am very happy to see that he is still keeping an eye on me, but that I too have an eye on him. I remember the statement that he made that he never took the Bar exam, and was awarded a law license because he was a White man. I wonder just what all the people who have gone up against him and lost think about that , and I will ask the Alabama Bar Association {about} it as soon as I get down to the light weights which I consider him to be.
Your Brother,
HK"
